![]() ![]() There is no doubting the team spirit that is alive throughout the afternoon activities. The seniors also go bunk to bunk to offer face paint for girls to put on. Green and white Wigs, sunglasses, feather boas, and sweatbands are common costume items. Everyone goes all out and dresses up in their team color. Prior to the afternoon competition campers, CITs, and staff gets into their craziest greens and whites. Each camper’s team spirit shines brightest in her Green & White team “costume”. Campers gain points for team spirit and enthusiasm. At each station, teams earn points for completing tasks and winning games. Games range from traditional sporting options to cardboard boat races and lip-sync battles. Then they organize games around that theme for the campers. The seniors decide a secret theme within the first few days of camp. The senior campers, otherwise known as Flamingos, plan Green and White Day at Fernwood Cove. The most celebrated color war event is Green & White Day. Each Fernwood Cove camper has a multitude of ways to contribute to her team’s success. Remaining true to the style of Fernwood Cove, campers, CITs, and staff are split into two teams- Green and White. However it continues to create camaraderie, unity and of course, team spirit. While Color War at Fernwood Cove is unique in its traditions. Color War is a favorite Special Event among campers. Perhaps tough showing your current health and perhaps even a certain indicator when something will come from the side could be nice as it would feel less bad if you are just currently on the right side of the board and can't react in time.īesides that tough amazing game and I can't wait for how far it will come :D.Color War is a long-standing tradition of summer camps across the country. Then the fights themselves are really well made as well, especially learning the enemy patterns as they are always the same (more or less) can be pretty rewarding. Now to the good stuff, first of all I love that you can interact with a lot of stuff in the world (drawer, bookshelf etc.) and will get different dialogue or dialogue that explains something more than just what you can immediately discern if you aren't blind.Īlso the music is amazing especially some of the boss themes really help elevate the game to a whole other level. I would also personally think that instead of a "normal" difficulty of easy normal and hard at the beginning of the game it would be a lot more interesting if you could instead toggle (your own movement speed, health, enemy projectile movement speed) similar to how Celeste does it in the Assist Mode, which makes it possible for less talented players to enjoy the game nevertheless. A few things that could make the game even better tough are first of all the collisions of the tile set which don't really work with the perspective of the game, you can't walk to the ledge of the island but just close enough so that your head is more or less to the border, which doesn't seem like a problem at the start but when you then get narrow passage ways with only more or less a few pixels of wiggle room you get to enter results in a experience which is pretty immersion breaking.Īlso I personally would love to see a Volume Slider for the sound, because sometimes the music was nearly silent and that's pretty sad especially when there is such amazing music to jam too. I must say the game has a lot of potential, I love the Undertale-esque Boss fights were you dodge bullet-hell style. So if you feel like it's too easy, there will be more. The full game will be much more difficult than this demo, as this is the intro section of the game. There are weekly devlogs going on on the Plasma Studios youtube channel. This is a demo showing a small portion of the gameplay of Color War, there is going to be far more content in the full game. There is different modes for varying levels of difficulty, so if you just want some casual play there are options, as well as a very difficult mode for those seeking a challenge. You'll fight many different bosses while attempting to bring together the color shards. The game switches between a lively top-down overworld to a straight on bullet-hell boss rush type game. In the process, you'll make many friends and enemies. You play as a cat dude and fight your way through extremely difficult bullet hell style boss battles in an attempt to get back home and out of this strange world. And for some reason, it's your job to help fix it. The shards of color found it's way into some lucky hands and color factions were formed. ![]() Long ago the rainbow relic was shattered, taking away all of the worlds colors with it. ![]()
